In December 2021, Estyn (the Education and Training Inspectorate for Wales) published its “We don’t tell our teachers” Experiences of peer-on-peer sexual harassment among secondary school pupils in Wales report. This report laid bare the terrible experiences of sexual harassment that girls face in Welsh schools. Advice for gender critical voters in Wales

As the General Election looms ever closer, we’ve been asked by a few of you amazing women for any guidance on how best to use your vote, given the dismal record of all parties in Wales on women’s rights.

We wish we could provide some reassurance and point you in a clear direction, but there’s no getting away from it – the choice is pretty thin for women who don’t believe in gender identity ideology and want to see women’s single sex spaces and services protected. Legal expert says trans toolkits in schools breach human rights and equality law

A ‘trans toolkit’ in use in Brighton and Hove has been identified as in breach of human rights and equality law. Toolkits based on the same template were formally adopted by the Vale of Glamorgan Council earlier this year and are provided to schools in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot by the West Glamorgan Safeguarding Board.

The legal opinion from Karon Monaghan KC, an expert in discrimination law, sets out how the toolkit misleads schools about their legal obligations and directs them to act unlawfully.
